I think you're some kind of miracle worker. Gotta read your earlier posts now.

Oh and LOVE the photo. If those kids felt so nonchalant about Francie and their parents weren't willing to pay $40 to get their dog back I can't imagine her life was THAT great. She may have had the basics of life (food, water, shelter, etc.) but I think her new owner will truly give her a great quality of life with more than just the basics. I think it's working out better in the end! =) Yay Francie!Tessa99999https://www.blogger.com/profile/17612754089029048280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8991878347710358809.post-80759219983483631872011-07-30T04:46:58.426-07:002011-07-30T04:46:58.426-07:00Francine is so lucky. I guess that little girl learned a hard lesson about what happens when you don't care for a dog. They were extremely matter-of-fact about seeing Francie, more like how they'd react to find an old pencil stuck in between two couch cushions, like, "Oh, so that's where that went to." They might have patted her head twice between the three of them.

And I've seen Francie much more excited and affectionate with the homeless people we pass around the animal shelter, than she exhibited toward those kids.

In fact, the lack of emotion on all parts made me skeptical that the kids' story was true. I thought the kids had Francie mistaken with some other white dog. But when I asked at the shelter the next day, Francie's name had indeed been Carly when she was brought in.

So I doubt that my frank answer was traumatic to those kids. It's much more likely that they barely gave it another thought.Infrequent Flyershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01695917474916791473noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8991878347710358809.post-24687241128727698952011-07-29T00:21:10.030-07:002011-07-29T00:21:10.030-07:00I agree. That poor little girl thinking she couldn't get the dog back because it cost 400 dollars! I hope she had some questions for the adults in her life when she went home.
