Rain, Rain, Go Away
I know we need the rain, but the weatherman is predicting rain ALL week long. Today is the first day in January that Cabana and I have not gone on our morning walk. 17 days out of 18--not a bad track record! But we are both missing the outing, especially Cabana who perks up every time I move from room to room, thinking that NOW might be a good time for a walk. I can see her mind thinking, "Is she going to get her sneakers? No...darn."
In the photo above, Cabana is looking out our sliding glass patio door. (I'm the goofball standing outside in the rain, taking photos in my pajamas!) It's hard to take photos that convey how much it's raining! Ha ha, my cozy sheepskin slippers are in the photo next to Cabana, which I took off to step outside in the rain.
We've had rain on previous days in January, but usually it was overnight or just a light drizzle. Today, it's a downpour. This is what our backyard is like--torn up turf with lots of mud and puddles.
Accuweather says that 1:00pm will bring a small break in the rain. I'm hoping we can take our walk then and not break our perfect-so-far January record!
Addendum: Yippee, the rain stopped for a little while. We were able to go for our walk at noon, and it was even a bit sunny and warm--weird weather!! 18 for 18--woo hoo!
we would also like the rain to go away!
Dear Cabana, I agree! Be glad that you don't have a pint sized bladder that is working on house breaking! it's very hard to not have accidents when it's raining so hard that I might get washed away!
Love,
Dagan
It's raining here too. We're getting all the rain when California is done with it. Good thing I got a raincoat for school; it's gonna come in handy here :)
We had a rainy weekend, but today has been sunny and warm...got a touch of Spring Fever!!!
How fun that we both blogged about water, though in different ways!
Gotta love them rainy days - just don't get carried away with them!

Oh I KNOW what you mean, living about 20 miles away heheh! That WAS a weird break, with blue skies and black clouds! But what a morning deluge! (I kind of like it, cause we need it and... I know it's snowing in the Sierra!). So proud of you for getting in 18 for 18 - whatta way to go!
Hugs xo

So happy you were able to get your walk in! That is a great record. We have not been so good this January with our cold, bitter cold temps. I know Cricket is hoping that we will get back to our walks (not just the necessary get here and there walks)soon.
Dagan - you sound like a cutie.
Oh Cabana...that look on your face is priceless. Lucky for you, you have a great mom who made sure your walk got in!!!
