Why, I Oughta Give You a Knuckle Sandwich

cabana in a down on the carpet with two knuckle bones in front of her, she's nosing the open one that she's been chewing, the other is new and wrapped in shrink wrapCabana would LOVE a knuckle sandwich! These knuckle bones keep her busy for hours and hours. In fact, if I don't take it away, she won't nap. (Cabana doesn't always know how to flip her own on-off switch.) They do leave a powdery mess on the floor, but I vacuum often anyway. Also, you can see the powder come out on "the other end", but it doesn't seem to upset her stomach. I just make sure to have a spare poop bag. ;)

The photo shows a brand new knuckle in shrink wrap next to one that Cabana has been working on for a few days. For $3.59 and a modicum of calories, the knuckle bone is a big winner. I do keep an eye on her when she's chewing and throw away any big pieces that get chipped off.

cabana picking from 6 large antler pieces laid out on the floor, they look like sticks and measure about 8 inches or moreYesterday, our deer antler shipment arrived!! Six big, beautiful pieces. Martha's antler source dried up, so we split a lot of them from eBay (as suggested by Denise in a previous post--thank you!!).

It was a great deal, considering that the ones sold in stores cost $10 for a small 5" piece. The lot shown here cost $30. We got ours from this seller on eBay. His name is Bob, and he was super nice. If you don't see a listing that fits the bill, please contact him, and he'll put a batch together for you (that's what we did). And tell him Mimi and Cabana sent you!

Those look really yummy, Cabana! I wonder how long it'll take you to get through the whole batch.

Hmmmmmmmm....Great stuff. Mom keeps a few of the knuckle bones around, but I haven't tried the antlers! What's your chew of choice Cabana?
Happy Valentine's Day my friend!

Its a big decision for a girl...knuckle sandwiches, deer antlers, mud. What to do, what to do...

Ha ha! Love the title of this post! Funny you should post about this - I just got Sammie one about a week ago and she set to work on it. AFter a while, I took it away. Next evening, gave it back to her and she enjoyed it. For a while. Then she got up and left it. And hasn't wanted it since! That's the first "foodable" Sam's rejected - ever!!! (gonna bring it along on Tuesday!)
Hugs xo
