Soft Spot for Spaniels

group of dogs ranging in size from a tiny dachshund wearing a plaid coat to a huge black german shepherdWhile it's a fact that Cabana loves dogs of all kinds, we have found ourselves gravitating toward spaniel breeds. Or maybe spaniels gravitate toward us? Whatever the reason, most of Cabana's favorite playmates are different types of spaniels.

I'll get that ball from you yet!

Oh no you dint!

On walks, Cabana always looks for him, wondering if he is tied up in his front yard so they can have a quick meet-and-greet.

You're tied up and I'm not! Nyah nyah!

Hey Cabana, did you hear the one about the smart dog
that got her owner to make her ground beef for breakfast?

Ha ha, where's the beef?! That's a good one, Maggie. You tell the best jokes!

cabana running full force toward the camera with ears waving in the wind, mindy and penny are running at a distance behind her, also coming right toward the camera, they look really happy...and run and RUN! I don't know what we'd do without our spaniel friends. And I hope we never find out!

Quite the variety of spaniel pals. :)

I had one lab who LOVED great danes. It was pretty funny because she was a tiny little girl and they towered over her!

My hoomie Melissa really likes English Springer Spaniels. She thinks they are very pretty dogs especially when they have really long & thick coats.

I can see how much Cabana loves her Spaniel friends!

What a beautiful array of spaniels! When I think "spaniel" I often envision cocker spaniels, which are so much smaller. Cabana's pals, on the other hand, look like a good match to her both size- and energy-wise!

I love the pictures of Cabana and her spaniel friends! Spaniels seem so soft to me. Would you say that Cabana has a soft side to her personality?
