Golden Visitor

photo of cabana smiling at the camera, dark red golden retriever in the background with tongue hanging out smileToday, Cabana and I had the pleasure of a visit from my dear friend Peg. She is a true dog lover and fosters senior dogs for Norcal Golden Retriever Rescue.

close up view of sweet faced hunter, with round brown eyes and a kind expression on his faceHandsome Hunter is 9-years old and very spry. He looks like a youngster in the photo, doesn't he?! Peg's previous fosters were 13 and 14, with many health issues, and barely able to walk. Their old age and poor health made them basically unadoptable, so Peg knew they would be in her care up to the end, which came for both of them this past summer.

He does look great! I wish I could take him with my love for Goldens, but alas. My Golden is 9 1/2 and has white all over her face. But she did have a stroke 3 1/2 years ago so that might have something to do with it. Haha! Hope he finds a home soon! He's such a handsome boy!

Peg sounds very special. What a gift she gives these dogs, although she's probably richly rewarded in return. Photos look great.
